What is a webplace?

Websites change and add new content often throughout the year and to put it simply instead of offering a one and done website for our clients why not offer a full platform that you can invest into annually and get the added benefits of hosting, design and maintenance.

How does the membership work?

Once you've signed up and logged in you will get a webplace suite number and just like any where you live you would pay us a yearly rent to keep your website up and running.

How much does a new website cost?

There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components; we design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. We’ll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the $3,000 – $5,000 range, but can be more or less depending on needs.

What if I don't pay rent ?

We'll just like anywhere else you live you can and will receive a eviction notice and be evicted from your webplace in the event no payment is accounted for same on the internet as well. Until we have processed your payment for the originally selected plan your website simply will display a 404 page error and your website will become obsolete nor will it be live/interactive.

Can I cancel my membership ?

Of course you can cancel anytime, and we'll move you out or simply break your webplace leasing agreement, upon these actions your website and all data related to it will be permanently deleted.

How long will it take to get a new website ?

On average, we shoot for 2 to 3 week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.

When do I pay ?

We offer a variety of payment options, varying from a one-time, up-front payment to six automated monthly payments. We understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible. We accept, PayPal, $Cashapp, Venmo and all major credit cards.

Do you only create Carrd websites ?

Yes but we can also create applications. Carrd is a great content management system for us as well as, bubble It's flexibility and pricing make it easy to use. You could take the time to learn it yourself but it takes time and effort or simply just rent a webplace and let us take care of that for you.

Will I be able to update the site myself when it’s finished ?

Yes! We love it when our clients take control of their website and learn to manage it on their own. We’ll provide you with a set of comprehensive video tutorials to help you learn your way around, as well provide you with a training session to help get you on your way. (Note: We love to answer your questions!)

Will you maintain my site for me ?

What kind of weblords would we be if we didn't! We provide on-going support for every web tenant, only upon canceling membership will support cease and domain re- transferred out to your preferred location .

Will my website be mobile-friendly ?

Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is more important than ever! We work hard to ensure your website looks great on a variety of devices.

How much input do I have in the process ?

Who writes the content for the site ?

I’m on a strict budget. Do you have any low cost options ?

A custom website can be a big investment and not all small businesses have the budget. We offer webplace studio which will help get you online with a nice looking website fast.

What if I need help on my site down the road ?

We are only an email away! We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need, and we won’t disappear once the site is launched. We’ve been doing this for years, so we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Do I need another web host?

No. All webplace plans include our fully-managed cloud hosting, ensuring your website remains available at all times.

How long is my rental agreement?

Webplace plans are paid yearly. We make it simple to start — and stop — your service at any time.

Can I switch plans?

Yes, at any time, simply by contacting support. When upgrading or downgrading your website plan, you will receive either a pro-rated charge or refund, depending on the cost of your new plan.

Do you sell domains?

No. we will purchase the domains through google for you (and connect them to your Webplace account) Or, if you already have a domain upon sign up let support know you've already got a domain and we'll transfer it over.

How do I cancel service?

Canceling Webplace is an easy and no-questions-asked process. Simple send on the support page enter your info and your rental agreement will terminated immediately and the domain transferred out to your new destination.


TERMS OF USE

The website you have entered (its sub-domains, affiliated websites, any mobile versions, and any services available therefrom) (the “Site”) is a copyrighted work owned and operated by HERD Media LLC; and its subsidiaries, parents, and affiliates (“HERD,” “we” or “us”).
